At the border of the historic hamlet Starda from the 12th century lies the holiday apartment with swimming pool Casa La Quercia, in a quiet location. From here, you get a wonderful panorama on the unique Landscape of Chianti Classico. A further villa is situated on the property and does also belong to the owner of Casa La Quercia. Unfortunately, she rarely is on site. However, the helpful, elderly lady, who lives in Florence, does normally not miss out on welcoming her guests personally.
The Hamlet Starda is located around 14 km of Gaiole in Chianti and roundabout 20 km of Montevarchi. Besides shopping facilities and banks, here you’ll also find some restaurants.
The restaurant from Podere L’Aquila and its Tuscan specialities, is also available. From Casa La Quercia it can easily be accessed by foot.
The small Tuscan holiday apartment Casa la Quercia has its own swimming pool, located directly at a garden with large meadow. Suitable for a maximum of 4 persons.

Arrival by car:
- Motorway A1/ E35 Milano-Bologna-Firenze-Roma
- Exit Valdarno – the 2nd Exit to Firenze-Sud after the toll station
- Immediately keep to the right in the direction of Montevarchi
- At the 2nd roundabout in Montevarchi turn towards Gaiole in Chianti/Siena SS408
- In Gaiole in Chianti continue in the direction of Siena
- Drive through Gaiole in Chianti
- The first street after the petrol station turn to the left towards Castagnoli SP 73B
- At Castagnoli continue straight ahead in the direction of Monte-Luco
- Between km 9 and 10 (SP73/B) turn right towards Starda
Casa La Quercia
- After turning from the SP73/B, the asphalt road turns into a gravel road. Follow this way 4 kilometres.
- In Starda turn left in direction of Montevarchi. After about 100 metres it’s the first house in yellow.

Firstly, type into your navigation system the village “Gaiole in Chianti”. After typing that in, you click on “Streets”. There you may choose to log in “Loc. Starda”.
